Mini-CHP plant in Kalinkovichi is another joint project of JSV “Belzarubezhstroy” with foreign partners

Minsk. Text: JSV “Belzarubezhstroy” Press Service

As it was stated by Vital Bandaryk, Director General of JSV “Belzarubezhstroy”, the course that the company has embarked on promotion of its services abroad as well as in Belarus within international consortiums has risen by another contract. Nowadays the situation on the market determines most advantageous position of enterprises which are open to integration of their competitive strengths because only by joining efforts and competencies it is possible to achieve best results and conquer a particular market or its part. This time “Enerstena”, Lithuanian Company Group, has become a partner of JSV “Belzarubezhstroy” in such a form of cooperation. It should be noted that the project is funded by The World Bank as a part of implementation of its energy efficiency and environmental programs in Belarus.

Realization of the project of mini-CHP plant in Kalinkovichi is made possible due to the fact that the Consortium of JSV “Belzarubezhstroy” and “Enerstena” Company Group won the tender held by RUE “Belinvestenergosberezhenie”.

In accordance with the Contract signed on the 2nd of June, JSV “Belzarubezhstroy” will perform design works and construction of the project while the Lithuanian company will deliver technological equipment to the mini-CHP plant. Installation and commissioning works will be implemented in collaboration with our northwest partners.

In the Department of energy facilities construction of JSV “Belzarubezhstroy” it was reported that the Lithuanian party guaranteed that the equipment to be supplied is efficient and that the CHP plant will operate using local fuel types, mainly wood chip.

We would like to highlight three main arguments which prove national significance of this international project for Belarus.

Firstly, the social aspect: mini-CHP plant will provide heat and electric power for a town with population of 40 thousand citizens, replacing several boiler plants that work in the town today and which are outdated or even with expired service life.

Secondly, energy security improvement during importation of hydrocarbons and gas which is achieved by using local fuel types.

Thirdly, this project proves that the Republic of Belarus is an attractive area for foreign investments.
